Mine Tailings Disposal and Water Management Short Course in Yazd-Iran 2009.

ATC Williams were the main presenters at a one day short course on Mine Tailings Disposal and Water Management that was organized by Yazd Mineral Processing Society in Iran earlier this year.

The short course was supported by Integrated Water Master Plan of NICICO which is ATC Williams’ client for our Iran projects, and Yazd Mining and Industry Organisation.

26 experts from different mining and mineral processing industries and also from the Mining Department of Yazd University attended.  Some of the organizations represented were:

o         National Iranian Copper Industries Company

o         Iranian Central Iron Ore Company (Choghart)

o         OSFORDY Mineral Industries Complex

o         TABAS Coal Mine

The short course was presented by:

• Dr Behnam Pirouz, Senior Engineer, ATC Williams

·          Comparison of Different Tailings Disposal Methods and the Cost Saving from Stacked Tailings Method
