Industry Recognition

At ATC Williams, we have a strong commitment to our field of study and in advancing the science and practice of geotechnical engineering in particular. Our involvement in professional associations and support of engineering educational institutions is long-standing and we will continue to promote standards of excellence.

As part of our continuing involvement, we are often invited to deliver papers at conferences and sit on specialist committees. It is rewarding to have our expertise recognised by the industry.

Recent contributions have included:

• Paul Williams has been invited to present sections of the short course "An Overview of Thickened Tailings Technology" that will precede the Paste 2009 conference. This will take place in Chile in April this year.
• Keith Seddon will present a paper entitled "The Effect of Evaporation on Strength and the Stability of Thickened Tailings Beach Slopes" at the actual Paste 2009 conference.
